Biography
Head of the Space and Aerospace Policy Office of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers
Antonio Bartoloni is Head of the Office for Space and Aerospace Policies at the Presidency of the Council of Ministers. The Office provides support to the President of the Council of Ministers, or delegated Authority, for the steering, coordination and general political responsibility in the space and aerospace national policy.
At the Ministry for enterprise and Made-in-Italy in the last ten years, and from 2022 to beginning of 2024 as Director General for “Industrial reconversion and large industrial productive chains”, he has been deeply involved in the design and implementation of industrial policy and programmes concerning the space sector.
In this context, he coordinated the definition of the National “Space Economy” Strategic Plan, in collaboration with national and regional institutions.
Before joining the Ministry, he spent fifteen years in the space industry sector, working as research
scientist and project /program manager in the field of remote sensing data processing for applications,
being involved in relevant European and national satellite missions, like ERS-1/2, ENVISAT and COSMO
SkyMed.
Graduated cum laude in Physics at La Sapienza University in Rome, he is author of about 30 original papers, including presentations at international conferences and peer-reviewed publications in international journals.
