The Open Innovation District at BEX – Beyond Exploration is the exhibition area that connects startups, companies, research centers, institutions, and investors, fostering technology transfer, the birth of new collaborations, and cross-disciplinary exchange. Here, ideas and projects become real business opportunities.
Designed as a hub of convergence between space economy and non-space sectors, the Open Innovation District focuses on the development of technologies related to the circular economy, resource efficiency and resilience, anddual-use applications, capable of generating measurable impacts both in the space sector and in terrestrial supply chains (such as industry, agriculture, health, mobility, advanced materials, high-tech manufacturing, etc).
The ASI Space Hackathon brings university talent into the heart of BEX 2026 — not as an audience, but as participants. A place where research, education and innovation meet: interdisciplinary teams work on real problems, supported by expert mentors and surrounded by the companies, institutions and innovators that are shaping the space economy right now.
