From physical and mental preparation to wearable technologies, research in microgravity and food systems, the experience brings together companies, research centres and space industry players to show what it really takes to build a human life in space.
<<Anyone who has lived through a mission knows that space tests people first, not just equipment. Staying healthy, training, and eating properly far from Earth calls for solutions born from the work of highly advanced, wildly different companies and research centers.
The Astronaut's House tells this story too, showing how technologies developed in space can end up improving life here on Earth.>>

The Human Factor explores the technologies, training methods and healthcare solutions designed to help astronauts stay healthy and perform throughout increasingly long and demanding missions.
Here, GVM Assistance presents its telemonitoring systems, alongside Formula Medicine and NTT DATA Italia, bringing together health, performance and technology to explore how we can prepare the human body and mind for life beyond Earth

Wearable Habitat
Wear. When what we wear becomes part of how we live in space.
In space, clothing is more than clothing. It becomes part of the technology that protects, supports and connects the human body to an extreme environment.
The Wearable Habitat explores the evolution of astronaut clothing, from flight suits to new frontiers in textile innovation.
Spacewear brings the suits worn by astronaut Walter Villadei during his Virgin Galactic flight, alongside Earth-based garments inspired by the same suit.
The area also features suits connected to the history of Italian space exploration, presented together with the Italian Air Force

The Mission Lab

We don't go to space just to get there. We go to learn.
The Mission Lab explores microgravity as a unique environment for scientific research, new materials and life sciences: turning space into a laboratory for discoveries that can generate value far beyond orbit.
The Università Politecnica delle Marche brings an interactive avatar of Walter Villadei that visitors can engage with, while CETMA takes them inside the International Space Station through virtual reality and presents a holographic experience dedicated to SOMNIIA, the sleep-monitoring mask developed through ASI research.

The Orbita Harvest
Grow, feed, and sustain life beyond Earth.
Living in space long-term means creating the conditions to sustain human presence over time.
The Orbital Harvest explores how we can grow, preserve and prepare food far from Earth from controlled environments and space farming to the technologies needed to rethink nutrition in extreme conditions.
ALTEC reconstructs the journey of a space meal through real food samples, while ENEA presents its prototypes and a virtual reality experience dedicated to greenhouses designed for extreme environments.
Focus: space farming, food technology, space nutrition, controlled environments, sustainability, agritech.
Think Lounge
Where space and Earth meet through ideas.
Running across the entire Astronaut's Home experience, the Think Lounge is where astronauts, companies, researchers and institutions come together to explore the questions shaping the future of human life in space.
Across the three days of BEX, short talks will connect space technologies with expertise developed on Earth: from Technogym and the future of human training for space, to Electrolux Professional and the kitchen of future habitats, up to Barilla and Artisia, exploring food as micro-architecture and inviting visitors to experience their award-winning 3D Spaghetto during the Space Cocktail.
