Event
This presentation explores potential synergies between the “SpaceLand” program and the use of highsalinity aquatic environments, such as those offered by the Cervia Thermal Baths, for the preparation of participants for SpaceLand aerospace tourism flights. These flights also provide opportunities for research and development activities in microgravity, lunar gravity, and Martian gravity across STEM disciplines. They form part of the SpaceLand Space Hub currently being developed in collaboration with the Republic of San Marino. The program also includes post-mission rehabilitation activities. The presentation examines how activities conducted in high-density saline waters may support psychomotor adaptation as well as musculoskeletal and neurovestibular rehabilitation. These benefits are relevant for participants in tropospheric, suborbital, and orbital missions, including professional and private astronauts. Particular attention is given to the challenges associated with long-duration spaceflight and future human presence beyond Earth.
