Professor of Structural Analysis of Aerospace Vehicles at the Politecnico di Milano, with over 25 years of experience in the field of computational mechanics and advanced composite materials. His expertise includes damage tolerance, structural optimization and multiscale modelling of polymeric composite materials, carbon-carbon (C/C), ceramic matrix composites (CMC) and ultra-high temperature ceramic matrix composites (UHTCMC), intended for aeronautical and space applications. He has coordinated research projects in collaboration with Brembo, Leonardo Helicopters, SGL Carbon, ASI and CIRA and currently leads the research activities of the SIAMS Laboratory. He is the author of over 100 scientific publications and is internationally recognised for his contributions in the field of advanced structural modelling and high-performance aerospace systems.
