Enrico Troiani

Biography

Enrico Troiani is an Associate Professor in Aerospace Structures and Constructions at the University of Bologna, coordinator of the Degree Programmes in Aerospace Engineering and scientific coordinator of MaSTeRLab, the Materials, Structures and Technologies Laboratory at the Forlì campus of the Department of Industrial Engineering. His scientific activity focuses on fatigue behaviour and damage tolerance of aeronautical structures, with particular attention to composite materials, structural integrity of bonded joints and Structural Health Monitoring systems. He also deals with advanced technologies for the aerospace sector, including additive manufacturing, laser shock peening, impact analysis and crashworthiness of structures made of advanced materials, and structural design of unmanned aircraft. For over twenty years he has combined research and teaching with collaboration with companies and research centres, participating in and coordinating national and European scientific projects.
