Fabio Vitale

Fabio Vitale has been Director of the Agency for Agricultural Disbursements (Agea) since December 2022. A versatile academic background – he holds degrees in Sociology, Economics and Law, and has obtained an MBA and a master's degree in Finance and Management Control – and he is registered in the register of freelance journalists. Former Director General for the supervision of Cooperative Entities and Companies at the Ministry of Economic Development, Fabio Vitale boasts extensive experience in the Public Administration, particularly as an INPS executive where he held numerous Central and Regional positions. At Agea, there are three main lines on which he has chosen to focus his action: the digitalisation of systems to speed up payments, the simplification of administrative procedures, and the fight against fraud. He has also laid the groundwork for a radical internal reorganisation by introducing distinctive monitoring and strategic planning tools. His goal is to bring farmers back to the centre of policy makers' strategies.
