Gaetano Volpe

Biography

Gaetano Volpe is CEO and co-founder of Latitudo 40, a geospatial AI company founded in 2017 as a spin-off of the University of Naples Federico II, alumna of ESA BIC and Techstars. Under his leadership, the company has raised over 5 million euros in venture capital, has exceeded 3 million in annual revenues and serves more than 30 clients across Europe and the MENA region, with a subsidiary in Portugal. With over 25 years of experience in the space sector — from telecommunications to navigation, through to Earth observation — he is a member of the Board of Directors of SAM, Società Aerospaziale Mediterranea, where he is involved, among other things, in the CubeSat BIO3D mission. He is an accredited evaluator for Horizon Europe and EUREKA, a Business Coach for the European Innovation Council supporting over 70 deep-tech SMEs, and a lecturer in Space Economy in the MBA program at Stop Business School.
