Giancarlo Buccarella is a deep-tech entrepreneur, co-inventor and legal & strategy advisor with 20+ years of experience in corporate governance, IP, technology transfer and complex transactions. An Italian Supreme Court-qualified lawyer, he is Founder and Managing Partner of Studio Legale Buccarella and a former Partner at an international law firm. He is Co-Founder, Vice President and Legal & Strategy Advisor of SpaceGlass, a University of Parma spin-off, and co-inventor of its core patent. SpaceGlass develops patented multilayer transparent composite cells combining thin, precision-curved glass panes with advanced interlayers for high strength, thermal resistance, transparency, reduced weight and maintainability in orbital habitats, aerospace, defence and other extreme environments. He is also Co-Founder and Legal & Strategy Advisor of EcoAida, leading IP, governance and market development. Its proprietary C-dots platform uses visible-light-activated carbon nanoparticles to generate reactive oxygen species (ROS), including singlet oxygen, for long-lasting antimicrobial protection in confined and high-risk environments, from Earth to space.
