Giancarlo Granero

Giancarlo Granero is the Head of the Space Economy Unit of the European Commission in Brussels, within the Directorate-General for Defence Industry and Space (DG DEFIS). He held several positions at the European Commission, both in central services and in industry-focused departments. Prior to that, he acquired early professional experience in Italy, both in large and small companies and as an independent consultant. Mr. Granero holds a master degree in environmental engineering, following studies at Politecnico di Torino, and a DES in Interdisciplinary analysis of the European construction, obtained in Belgium
