Giuseppe Pascazio

Department of Mechanics, Mathematics and Management, Politecnico di Bari

Giuseppe Pascazio is Professor of Fluid Dynamics within the Department of Mechanics, Mathematics and Management at the Politecnico di Bari.
He received the M.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering from Università degli Studi di Bari in 1989 and the Ph.D. degree in Fluid Machinery Engineering in 1993 from the same University. In 1991 he completed with honours the Post graduate Diploma course in Turbomachinery at the von Karman Institute for Fluid Dynamics.  
From 2010 to 2015 he has been chairman of the Ph.D. program in Mechanical Engineering and Management of the Politecnico di Bari. From October 2018 to September 2021, he was member of the Management Board of Politecnico di Bari and from October 2019 to September 2025 he has been Deputy Rector for Research of Politecnico di Bari. 
He serves as editorial board member for “CEAS Aeronautical Journal” and “Aerotecnica, Missili e Spazio” and he is Member of the Scientific Committee of ICCFD. 
He has published over 180 scientific papers, about ninety being published either on international journals or as book chapters. 
His research interests in the field of computational fluid dynamics include the development of numerical methods for incompressible and compressible flows, hypersonic flows, fluid-structure interaction problems, reacting flows and combustion modelling.
