Lorenzo Pinna

For over 40 years he has been involved in science communication, producing hundreds of television reports and investigative pieces in Italy and abroad for Quark, Superquark and currently for NOOS. He has written around fifteen popular science books on various topics such as: astronomy, computers, the origin of man, energy, geology, climate, astronautics etc. 'Cinque ipotesi sulla fine del mondo' (Mondadori) has been translated and published in Germany as well. Together with Piero Angela he wrote 'Atmosfera, istruzioni per l'uso', 'Perché dobbiamo fare più figli' (on the Italian demographic situation and its consequences) and 'La sfida del secolo' (on energy). For Boringhieri he published in 2011: 'Autoritratto dell'immondizia', a book on the history of cities and waste. Again for Boringhieri, in 2014 he published 'Uomini e macchine, la sfida dell'automazione'. For Cento Autori editions he published in 2018 'Intelligenza Artificiale, nel futuro c'è ancora posto per noi?' In February 2021, again for Cento Autori, 'Il Futuro Sostenibile, Sapiens, Clima, Energia'. For Codice Edizioni in November 2024, 'Quattro ipotesi sull'origine del linguaggio' was released. For Editrice ETS of Pisa, '100 anni in compagnia dell'atomo. Una breve storia del nucleare.' is forthcoming (September 2026).
