Luca Perri

Luca Perri holds a PhD in Physics and Astrophysics from the University of Insubria and the Brera Milan Observatory. He is an astrophysicist and astronomer of the Italian Physical Society (SIF), the Milan Planetarium and the Lecco Planetarium. He has worked for the National Institute for Astrophysics (INAF) and the National Institute for Nuclear Physics (INFN). He is involved in science communication on radio, television, print media, festivals and social networks, with a YouTube channel with over 140 thousand subscribers and over 16 million views. His collaborations include the European Space Agency (ESA), the National Research Council (CNR), the National Institute for Nuclear Physics (INFN), Kilimangiaro (Rai 3), Rai 2, Radio2, Radio Deejay, Radio24, Radio Capital, Repubblica, Corriere della Sera, Le Scienze, Focus, Focus Junior, WIRED, Pikaia, CICAP, TeDx, European Researchers' Night, Festival della Scienza di Genova, BergamoScienza, Festival delle Scienze di Roma, Focus Live, Festival della Comunicazione di Camogli, MUSE di Trento, Piccolo Teatro di Milano, Play Modena and Lucca Comics & Games. He was Italian champion and international finalist of FameLab 2015, a talent show on science communication. He has been a member of the Scientific Committee of CICAPFest and Scientific Coordinator of Bergamoscienza. He is the author and host of several Rai Cultura programmes, including 'Nautilus', 'Superquark+' with Piero Angela and 'Noos' with Alberto Angela. He is a trainer in inter-university courses on transferable skills for doctoral students at Lombard universities and is a textbook author and trainer for Deascuola. He has published several podcasts including 'Cineastri, il Ritorno' (finalist in the 'Science' category and winner of 'Podcast Revelation of the Year' at the IlPod award for the best Italian podcasts 2024). He wrote and hosted the documentary on the information crisis 'Infodemic - il virus siamo noi', on Amazon Prime Video and YouTube. He is the author of popular science books translated into six languages.
