Biography

Italian Air Force Pilot
Currently employed in Itaian Civil Aviation Authority (ENAC) as Flight Instector

 

Air Force Colonel Pilot Luigi Levante attended the Air Force Academy regular courses (1987-1991). He then earned his military pilot's license at the 61st Wing in Lecce-Galatina.

His operational activity took place at the 41st Wing in Sigonella (Anti-Submarine Warfare) and the 31st Special Transport Wing in Ciampino (1991-2007), engaging in national and international operations, holding all operational positions up to Group Commander.

He served at various top-level Defense bodies in the field of international relations and, after commanding the Naples Military Airport, was sent to the National Civil Aviation Authority where, as a flight inspector, he acquired significant skills in the management of flight schools and remotely piloted systems in Regulation and Innovative Mobility Research Department.

He graduated in Political Science, obtained a Master's degree in International Relations from LUISS in Rome, in addition to attending the NATO Regional Cooperation Course at the NATO Defence College in Rome and the Joint Advanced Warfighting School (JAWS) at the National Defense University (NDU) in Norfolk (VA-USA).
