Marco Scatto

Marco Scatto is a Macromolecular Scientist who has developed his academic expertise between the University of Venice and the University of Pisa. He has many years of experience in technology transfer in the advanced manufacturing of plastics in sectors such as packaging, automotive, biomedical and aerospace. He has participated in multiple national and European research projects, is the author of 35 scientific publications (h-index: 13) and co-author of 7 patents. His many years of experience in thermoplastic polymers dedicated to packaging has led him to collaborate with various brand owners and processing companies with the aim of developing new sustainable packaging. In particular, in the food sector he carries out R&D activities aimed at developing innovative packaging that is consistent with the new EU regulations. In the aerospace sector, he has already worked on ESA projects on thermal insulation and on food packaging for astronauts. He is currently involved both in scientific consulting initiatives and in contract teaching at the University of the Republic of San Marino, the University of Padua, Ca' Foscari University of Venice, and La Sapienza University of Rome.
