Margherita Righini is currently a Technical Project Management Coordinator at SIU!, with a background in Earth Sciences and expertise in Earth Observation (EO) and Remote Sensing for environmental monitoring and natural hazard mitigation. She holds a PhD in Earth Sciences from the University of Padova, specializing in Fluvial Geomorphology and Remote Sensing. From 2019 to 2024, she worked as a researcher at the University School for Advanced Studies IUSS Pavia. Her professional experience includes the analysis and processing of multi-sensor satellite data to support environmental protection, land and risk management, and emergency response. From 2020 to 2024, Margherita was a Contract Professor at the University of Pavia, lecturing on Hydromorphology within the international Civil Engineering for Mitigation of Risk from Natural Hazards (HYRIS) program.
