Matteo Angelinelli

As Chief Operating Officer of IT4LIA AI Factory at CINECA, I provide strategic and operational leadership for artificial intelligence initiatives at national and European levels. I coordinate multidisciplinary teams, engage stakeholders and foster collaboration between technology experts, researchers, industry and public institutions, ensuring that AI and high-performance computing effectively support innovation and scientific advancement. I have a PhD in Astrophysics from the University of Bologna and a background in computational science, and I have developed extensive experience in high-performance computing, data-intensive applications, and artificial intelligence. In my role as an HPC Data Engineer, I contribute to the design and implementation of advanced data analysis and machine learning solutions within large-scale research and innovation projects. Throughout my career, I have worked in scientific research, digital innovation and technology transfer, contributing to international collaborations, scientific publications, conferences and educational initiatives. I am particularly interested in the role of AI and supercomputing in addressing complex scientific, industrial and societal challenges, and in building bridges between cutting-edge research and real-world applications.
