Nunzia Favaloro

Dr. Nunzia Favaloro is a senior research engineer at the Italian Aerospace Research Centre (CIRA), where she has been working for over 24 years. She achieved her degree in Aerospace Engineering in 2000, and after a research fellowship at the University, she earned a Ph. D. in Aerospace Engineering and Microgravity in 2004, both at the University of Naples 'Federico II' and ULB (Université Libre de Bruxelles) In 2006, she earned a postgraduate Master in Systems Engineering & Management at the Missouri Institute of Technology. Currently, Dr. Nunzia Favaloro is the Space Exploration and Satellite Unit head, and she is responsible, as Project Manager, for many research projects She also holds the roles of Member of the AIDAA Governing Board, Member of the Technical Advisory Board (TAB) of ESRE, and Member of the Robotics Working Group in the CTNA During these years, she has gained extensive experience in the field of aerospace preliminary design, system engineering and project management, working on different national and international projects. Moreover, she managed a technical team and test campaign for the Plasma Wind Tunnel (PWT) \t She is the author and co-author of several publications, among conferences and journal papers.
