Stefano Gualandris is an entrepreneur active in the mechanical engineering sector, with interests also in aerospace and defense.
His companies, TECHNOSPRINGS ITALIA Srl and TSS-Innovationsprojekte GmbH (in Switzerland), manufacture springs and elastic systems—both traditional and based on innovative materials—and, specifically for aerospace, space, and defense applications, are leaders in systems based on shape-memory alloys.
During his tenure at the Ministry of Economic Development (MISE), he contributed to the MISE–MoD and NATO 5 Powers planning working groups, primarily in support of the national defense industry.
He is currently at the Ministry of Economy and Finance (MEF), where he continues to follow aerospace and defense policies as an advisor to the Minister, also liaising with other relevant ministries.
In 2018, he served as advisor to the secretary to the Presidency of the Council of Ministers, On. Giancarlo Giorgetti, contributing to the establishment and management of the Interministerial Committee for Space and Aerospace Policies (COMINT).
He is currently involved in working groups related to strategic Defense, aerospace, and space programs, particularly those concerning technological projects and defense rearmament, including the space, underwater, and Arctic domains.
Stefano Gualandris is also a member of the Board of Directors of the Italian Space Agency and a Selected Reserve officer in the Italian Navy, serving at the UGSI Department (General Office for Space and Innovation).
