Valerio Roscani is Program Manager and ESA Business Applications Deputy Ambassador for Italy at Fondazione E. Amaldi. He serves as Project Coordinator of the Digital Europe Programme project CyberProTrain, leading the development of advanced cybersecurity training and capacity-building activities aimed at strengthening Europe's cyber resilience and digital skills ecosystem. Valerio has extensive expertise in technology assessment, innovation management, and investment readiness. He coordinates the technology evaluation and technical due diligence activities for Primo Space, Italy's leading venture capital fund dedicated to space technologies, assessing high-potential startups and strategic technologies from both technical and commercial perspectives. His experience spans proposal evaluation, innovation advisory, technology transfer, business acceleration, and support to deep-tech ventures operating in the space, AI, Earth Observation, and dual-use sectors. Holding a PhD in Astrophysics, with research focused on image analysis and machine learning applied to satellite imagery, Valerio combines strong scientific expertise with extensive experience in commercialisation and innovation management.
