Giacomo Bassmaji

Biography

Giacomo Bassmaji (1987) designer and cultural project manager, with experience in designing and managing initiatives that interweave art, science and design. From 2020 to 2024 he collaborated with the University of Parma, following an academic experience at the Politecnico di Torino within the Co-Design course. For Fondazione Pistoletto Cittadellarte he coordinates, at an international level, the Opera Demopratica project, directing participatory processes through the tools of art, in collaboration with numerous public and private institutions in Italy and abroad. He has curated and co-curated the exhibitions Obiettivo 13 – Arte e cambiamento climatico at Villa Manin and Tiliment - Tagliamento tra arte e scienze also in Friuli, and coordinated the Opera Demopratica and the public program of Villa Manin, of Gorizia for GO! 2025 – European Capital of Culture and L'Aquila 2026 - Italian Capital of Culture.
